great link, but I've got a couple of questions as usual...

in that tutorial, which method is used more often by people on this forum?

method 1 (which i will most likely be using) you must drain the fluid out of that rack prior to looping hoses correct?

when working with the belts after you remove the PS pump i've read that you need to get an idler pulley to put in its place...is there no way to just use a shorter belt to run the AC? thanks

Do a search on depower and you'll find what you need. Several threads on this. No adjuster on the A/C bracket so you need the idler.

I depowered one of my miata's racks and did the difficult way of removing that seal inside the rack. It wasn't that difficult at all. Just takes a few hours of your time and you're done. There is no way to just install a smaller belt, just get the idler pully for $100 and call it a day.
