Mine is in and rocking. Thanks for the writeup! I was over heating at the track with the hole cut and no scoop, but i never got a chance to run with it in there. I'm an idiot for not running again because I could have put together some data-logs that really showed whether or not this thing helps. If the 949 Reroutes ever ship I will have one in the next time I'm at the track so hopefully my overheating issues will be taken care of.
Sorry for the crappy i-phone / low-light garage picture!

rough data point
Just an update on some hot weather (97f) experience.
Made two driving loops ~8 miles. In boost for extended periods. First loop included low rpm to rev limit with ~9psi peak, second loop include same runs to ~15psi. Those loops were preceded by about a 20 minute stop-N-go drive in traffic ~35mph. After the loops I drove about 3 miles before coming to red light. Sat stopped at the light for 50 seconds before it turned green. During that period the coolant temp went from 90c to 94c - fan doesn't come on until 97c.
At that ambient temp, prior to the extractor, the rad fan would come on right before coming to stop, or just after stopping. So the extractor is serving well for both speed and stopped ventilation.

My hood pics
I'll add on to this thread instead of starting a new one. I was able to get a hood scoop on ebay a couple of weeks ago and I took the car over to a friend of mine who has a body shop to have him cut the hole in the hood. When the scoop came it was a shiny black color so I had him prep and paint it a matt black finish for now. He's eventually gonna paint my whole car so I just wanted it a color that wouldn't stand out to much on my car. Also he panel bonded the scoop to the hood. It makes it look much cleaner underneath. The one thing I was a little disappointed in was the location. I told him where I wanted to have the scoop mounted and looks like he came a little low. From my measure, it looks like it could have gone up another inch at least. Sorry for the bad pictures. First it was done on my cell phone and second the weather has been rainy most of the day. I'll get better pictures in the sun.
