this thing still has alot of work to go, for the intercooler, it is v mounted so that the rad isnt blocked and it getts more air when the car is sideways, i still need to make the ducting for it, yes the seats, fit just barely they are on custom seat mounts weled to the floor

Why would airflow to the ic be a concern whilst your car is sidewayz? At that point you're pretty much crashing anyway, right?

You sure you need 400hp? How much does a Miata need at fighting weight (that car I would guess maybe 1800lbs) to be competitive? What about gearing and what tranny/dif are you using? Custom gearset? I understand you need to keep'em spinning at 100+mph, but how much do you need? 400hp and BP don't mix for long. What kind of budget are you working with and what's the setup on the motor for that power? Maybe build a motor capable of 400hp, then only boost to 300hp so the motor will last forever (or as long as drifting is popular... another week or two).

i doubt it woudl get more air sideways because the air will be pounding the side of your car, if you replaced your passenger door with an intercooler THAT would be more efficient

yes im gonna cut the hood, belive me everything ive done is for a purpose, im not cutting corners, i dont have any sponsors or anything, this is on my own personal budget, every dime i make after bills goes to the car. i work 2 jobs, my part time one is at a performance engine shop, so i get to do all the motor work my self, as for drive train, its a 94, so im gonna use the 1.8l diff with kazz lsd, i have a 02 6spd and a fidanza 8lb flywheel and act 6 puck unsprung clutch w extream pp, motor is fully built, carrillo rods, weisco pistons, balanced, 99 head race ported, plans for valave train are 1mm over valves, springs, retainers, inner shim kit, integral or fuji racing cams, around 274 duration. custom sheet metal intake mani, on the way is a boostlogic manifold(its back ordered, ill have it hopefuly in under a month) with tial 38mm gate

also i have fm sway bars, safe racer links, stance al+ coilovers, im waiting on the secret element inner tie rods for more angle and im making custom spherical bearing outter tierods,

as for power to weight, ever look at rhys millens solstic, i bet thats around 2500 or less lbs, and he pushes more that 500 hp, big smoke and power to hold it sideways down straights, and the power to scrub speed by spinning the tires faster. i can always back it down!

^Hey NOOB, whaddya mean "keep US updated". Go to the meet-n-greet forum and start a thread about yourself. Then you can be one of "us".

AS for the car... WOW!!! That's what I call a setup! That might be one of the most bad-*** Miata's around.

Lol... sorry. I was was just trying to get me 10 posts so that I can start wasting my money in the classifieds section . This seemed like the perfect oportunity, since I actually enjoy clean, real CUSTOM work.
Here is a little info on who I am. Aprreciate any help on my issue .
