Which one of us doesn't want to spend $3k to upgrade to V-bands again?

I like that hood Hustler. I'm no aero expert but I'd guess those vents would be better for us moved farther forward. #1 to be in a lower pressure area. #2 to not pour water on top of the motor when it rains. I'm in the NW, rain is a consideration.

Was watching Supercar on speed (that show should be on Logo, not speed) they were running the Horsethief mile. Every other front engined car had a hood that looked just like the chaser aero one. Don't know what that means but it's sure a popular design with the hard core high horsepower crowd.

For those that don't drive the car in the rain or park it outside, obviously its not an issue. For me at least I DD my miata (when its on the ******* road) and park it outside. So my FM hood was not a good option for me, even though I had it for 4 years. The hoods with the vents on either side of the valve cover, or just in front of it are better for street cars.

Maybe I was just unlucky and had a problem because the magnecor wires had a reputation for not fully seating to the cover, and the FM hood just so happen to allow water to **** right into the valley. I don't know but I'm glad that issue is long gone.....

They are doing a NB extractor hood first, and then they are trying to get enough people to be interested in NA one before they do it. I would be interested, but tbh the chaser aero guy doesn't really inspire that much confidence. They talked about some sort of changes to the design but they haven't been able to put forth exactly what those changes would be. I would be interested, but only if the thing had a design that wasn't retarded.

Hmm maybe I'll buy an unpainted NB hood just for track days.

I wish someone made a hood without the factory hump so I could use this on in the front:
