Default Best way to build an engine for turbo?

going to buy a spare 1.8 for my 97 miata, and will start building it for FM II 250hp+ turbo with megasquirt instead of hydra. what all needs to be done? (car is always a daily driver and will remain a daily after turbo)

of course i will need
engine block machined and checked
99 head ported and polished
forged rods
good pistons
ARP bolts
rebuild kit
coolant reroute
water and oil pump
cam gears
valves and springs

but what else would i need?

and for certain parts like oil pump, water pump, ect should i get OEM? or aftermarket from somewhere?

any help, advice, links, ect is greatly appreciated. this is my first engine build and i just want to do it right and for the car to be reliable. thank you

Contact SAVINGTON on this website or go here:

Buy one of their built motors, the end.

For 275 hp pistons and rods will do it.
On 93 octane go 9.0:1
On 91 octane go 8.6:1
On E85, maybe 10:1?
