They offered me $200 dropped off, or $40 picked up.

The carcass wouldn't fit in the back of the WRX and it had no wheels (or even hubs to mount them on) so a tow dolly was a no-go... I'm quite happy with my $40. It'll buy me like 16 24oz cans of Monster and Jolt- which will come in handy for the work I've got ahead of me on the project car.

That's $40 more than I have been able to get for the two stripped tubs I have out back. When I get the 99 stripped, I'll just call the scrap guy to pick up. Three tubs plus misc around the farm should make it worth his while. Also, I was suprised to see $200 if you drop off off. That's a lot of coin for a Miata shell, weight-wise.

what really is a shame is you didn't get the a/c hardlines out. a lot of them are discontinued.

Looks like the front end had a bit of a close encounter of the violent kind! What happened there?

A place close to where I work gives $10.50 per 100 pounds of metal, whether it be random scraps or whole cars. Made some pretty good money there lately.

Previous owner told me that someone stole the car and the police found it after it had been crashed into a telephone pole. I picked it up for peanuts from the heartbroken owner.

It worked out well all around.
-I got a shitload of parts I need for the project car and a shitload of parts to sell to fund buying still more parts for the project car.
-The previous owner got some cash for her wrecked toy.
-The thieving ****** apparently got to smash the windshield with his skull.

And there's a moral to the story, too: If you're going to tempt karma, wear your seatbelt.
