Default turn signal air intake

I was thinking about getting one of these from miata mania but was thinking what happens if it raining outside? Has anyone had any trouble with water getting too close to the air filter? Just wondering

I've run TSI's and a Naca duct on the drivers side, no problems that I know of.

But it does get awfully dirty. If you're the type who likes a pristine engine bay, don't go with either of these....

Kind of like having a handkerchief in your suit pocket.

On One Lap of America last year, a Miata had TSI's, and a bird managed to skewer the little bulb cover on the driver's side. The driver didn't notice for 3 days! Was pretty sick looking seeing a Miata out on the track with a bird sticking out its eye.

They make K&N condoms for your filter. That is another option.

http://knfilters.com/wraps.htm

the material is water resistance and should prove to help prevent sucking in too much rain water. When I finally get around to moving my filter in front of my NACA ill be running one if driving in the rain.

Pantyhose on a miata?

I can picture the guy at the store now. "um... I'm picking this up for my um...car. Um yeah... it's a... uh... miata." What size and color works best?

people have used pantyhose for years as a prefilter, mostly on older cars.
