my concern would be :

how much ran down?
what happens if one of the fans needs replacing?

It is filler that is used around heat... good to 600* before it ignites

and the cam gear backing plate is off because I made that plate.. and i wanted people to see what I made. I readjusted the cams afterwards and have been buttoning up the engine compartment slowly but surely

none ran down. and it is very easy to remove... for instance i just removed the power steering... and you all know about the dumb line that runs to the front of the car.. well I used that stuff to block off the air on the bumper too. So that line had that stuff on it and it was also stuck to the tin. I pried it off with the force of a 2yr old with a flat head.

as for it running down, when you stray it it immediately expands and is heat resistant. Available at Home Depot! replacing the fan is not a problem... I think im going to put an oil cooler right infront of the fan on the right in that pic.
