Default How do these people not die from forgetting to breathe?

http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=292901

Almost drove through 'empty' - need audible warning

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Decided to wait for gas to drop instead of filling up when warning light came on. Totally forgot about it the next day and got on highway not paying attention to warning light. A close call that made me wonder if anyone has come up with an audible low fuel warning alarm?

As if a gas gauge below E and a bright amber light aren't enough.

I guess this one can give the other guy a run for his money. Bold for emphasis.

99 Tie Down Hook REmoval

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this the official link of the normally very helpful miata.net garage for 99 tie down removal? http://www.miata.net/garage/tiedown.html

I got a grille that needs the tie hooks removed but after blind wrenching from my back on the dirty driveway for 30 minutes and loosening only one I did a forum search. My problem is that I don't know what half the described parts are that I must remove and quite frankly the word ramps scares me. Maybe I should just return the grill unless there is an easier way, or have a mechanic with a lift do it.

Both are quite entertaining and educational in their own right.

I would never go past the 1/4 mark only because I learned on my 240sx that your fuel pump is cooled by your fuel and if you drive on it with to low alot kills the life of the pump. Went through a walbro that way.

I've discovered a way to make my fortune! Create a device with a Nike that resides up by the steering column, and when low enough on fuel, it swings down to kick the driver in the nads. I'm gonna be rich!

O <--- you know, for the kids...

On my car Im way too scared to let the gas get that low, on an 18 year old car you can never be too sure whats sitting at the bottom of the tank.
