Duh Duh DAMN. Why'd they need to be cut?

BTW I'm very resentful I never had the opportunity to see Tampa one last time. Among all the FL hate, I feel that town somewhat an oasis.

It's what they call a "grandfather oak" around here. That lift was pretty much at its max height of 45 feet in one of those pics and even with a 8ft pole saw I was 10-15ft short of reaching the top. I wanted a 60ft lift but they were all out because of setup for the RNC.

Because hurry-canes.
And because you can't grow grass under so much shade; ~100 Hefty bags of leaves a year must be raked by someone; The leaves are high in tannic acid making it tough for many plants and grasses; Without sun and with frequent thunderstorms nothing dries out so mold, mildew, and rot consume everything; I nearly died several times trying to get all of the wet, slippery leaves off of my roof and screened porch; And they dump 3.5 metric tons of pollen on my house, cars, and yard every year.

It has its share of dirtballs like any city, but it has a very different feel than the east coast Florida cities. The people who have settled along the east coast have typically resettled from the northeastern states or Latin/Carib/Central America versus the midwesterners that have mostly settled over here. South of Tampa gets different as well from what I have seen. The demographics get much older very quickly heading that direction.
