Default Capri XR2 Block?

I put this in the BS section because it might be BS. A friend of mine told me if I could find a cheap XR2 block that id save a bunch of money Vs building another 1.6 block. I searched here for "capri" and "capri block" but didnt find anything. So what the truth behind the Capri bocks and whats it take to run them in our cars?

Sounds like the same motor... how could you save money? 1.6 motors are ridiculously cheap.

As a point of reference, most people on craigslist are more then happy to pawn off their 1.6 bottom ends for sub 100. Just gotta keep your eyes open.
