The Dedicated URABUS Thread
#1703
I wouldn't say "lots" but when the tuners were new to the platform they had some issues. Apparently #8 cylinder ran hotter than the rest and caused issues. Apparently Ford actually fixed a lot of the cars as long as the owners agreed to keep it off the forums so the "tuner" reputation of the Mustang wouldn't be hurt.
It's all figured out now and has been even since I had my '13 GT, so I wouldn't be concerned about it.
If the new 435hp version is like the 420hp version in the '11-'14s, intake/full exhaust/tune is going to put you north of 400whp (IIRC).
Vorshlag has a really good build thread on the on his '12 GT NASA TT car, I forgot how much power they ended up making with it, but it was impressive.

actually considered both, the ss is really rare and 'spensive for what it is, and the older caddies are turribru, and newer ones are way too 'spensive.
besides, if I'm spending 30-40 grand, I'm not getting something that's gonna depreciate down to teens within 5 years hahaha
I'm so particular lol. I can't just go get a benz like brainy and not look back. every car I consider gets scrutinized so much that I can never make a fast decision

Truf. I just like the idea of that supercharged ls in a wagon. So sex. The manual SS with mag ride are supposed to be awesome.
Camaro is too flashy/transformer. Mustang is too loud and "look at my small *****". I guess you do own a corvette though...

Mustang is not loud at all. Stock the 15 is really quiet. In a subtle color it's also not "look at mah ****" either.
The camaro, hmm, kinda agree about the transformer thing. The other thing is how bad the visibility on those is. Everything else is fine
Corvette is not flashy. No one even notices the corvette. My subaru gets 200% more attention.

the only thing im disliking about auto is the rate of downshifting. even when paddling. but i just do it much earlier and seems to be fine.
still, it's much better than shifting into 2nd, punching it in the WRX and not moving since no b0000000st.
I slam pedal, wait a moment, then TQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ

Would be flying there to pick it up if it was able to be legally registered in CA
No boost on a stock wrx? Dude, anything above 3k is insta-boost. On my setup I get 5psi before I even get to 3k, and then it just DROPKICKS the whole car so hard it spins the Michelin PSS in 2nd in the dry.

There's a company that sells cheap replacement plastic connectors I can find/link if you need them. It was like 10 or 15 for all 4, and you just smash the stock plastic one, and snap the pins from the wires into the new ones. No wiring, just smash/install and you're done.

I run aftermarket coils on my 05 Outback XT. One common problem is the electrical connectors become brittle and the little lock that holds them onto the coil breaks. You might just have a loose coil. I had a misfire code 3 or 4 times on my car, and every time it was just a coil pack connector not fully seated. VERY CLOSE but not actually seated all the way, one time it did come unplugged electrically so total misfire on cyl 3.

#1 was misfiring per OBD2. I swapped 1 and 3 coil to make the problem move and this happened to #3 when I unplugged it.
This stayed in the coil
Which eventually turned into this, until my replacement connector gets here because DD. (And the backup DD s10 also has a misfire... on cylinder #1 LMFAO!!!! that one isnt nearly as easy to troubleshoot though)
The problem was most definitely the coil.
