Really fell in love with this bicycle this weekend:

Not road/CX talk, but we got a metric tonne of these new Demos in at the shop mid-week. Asymmetric and sexy, but 37lbs (Medium, includes boomslang pedals) and not as good a value as the new SCB v10. Choices Choices Choices

Ignore poverty rear brake routing... no idea why Spec ships them not-internally routed.

FWIW, I have no desire to own an internally routed cable frame.

When done properly a la' SCB nomad, and the Demo above, they're quite nice and clean, easily serviceable, and stupid easy to route since they're internally sleeved. Just push it in one end and it'll pop out the other every time.

Don't talk to me about Guru's internal routing design though .

Almost all my bikes are internally routed. I like it.

I like the way the 2014 Synapse has it. You pop off a cover at the bottom bracket and run the cables. Then replace the cover. This keeps the grit thrown up from the front tire off the guide. I do not think the ones with the exposed guides are worth the effort because the most vulnerable spot is left unprotected.

@hustler- that 'tree-gate' is ridiculous. Sucks that they cancelled/delayed the race because 2 trees *might* have had some people run over their roots...

This is basically what all the trails at whistler look like. The trees are fine. (dang that guy in the pic has skinny arms)

WAY easier to build them that way... the assembly factory gets brakes with lines pre-cut and bled from the brake factory then bolts them on. It would be a mess otherwise.

Their hydro-road bikes come internally routed. Why be lazy on a $9k Sworks bike? Of course its easier. Its a bleed-free affair to route it internally at the shop when we fix all the shenanigans out-of-box. My $0.02

Bored at the shop so we did some ClubRoadster Various Tire stretching on Fatboy Wheels.

Much Stretch. Very low. Wow.

Kill time. I would hope no one in their right mind would ride something like that. Just fun.

I actually could see someone riding the hookworm, a good quality fat slick is really expensive and heavy. But that is without seeing what it looks like in real life. Could be on to something.

Let me see what I have.

And shockingly the Hookworm did really well. Almost vertical side-walls. Could work.. and be safe too.

Alpha-Bite 26x1.75, and Serfas Drifter 26x1.5. My co-workers think I'm crazy now.

Holy ***** my hands must be shaky. Apologies for picture quality.

Well, I fucked-up and signed-up for a road race. Go ahead and prepare to make-fun of me when I crash and get hurt again, it should be really entertaining.
