^That opening seen was AWESOME!
My biggest complaint about motorsports on television is that the camera guys never pan out. They're always focused in where the car takes up 90% of the frame. You never get a good sense of speed and you really never see the course. Zoomed in, 100mph looks the same as 180mph. That opening scene gives you a sense of speed that I've never seen before on television. Unbelievable!

exactly what I was thinking. You know you are going fast when you outrun a helicopter in a couple seconds. According to the video he took that turn at 160mph ?@?!?!?!!?

Boris Said is awesome. He's still rockin' the afro and in addition to having a regular spot for driving during the season he is gainfully employed as a stand in driver. Crews can always rely on him because he's such a consistent finisher. No he may no place first but he regularly makes top ten and hardly ever has racing "incidents" I also look up to Randy Pobst and love his monthly column in Sportscar Mag

Randy Pobst is awesome, Said not bad either. I like Randy's smooth style. He was actually one of the first race drivers I ever met (I was 1 y/o) because my dad introduced me back when they autocrossed together.

Randy's really nice. I met him and didn't even know it. He was at mazfest2005 and I talked to him only realizing I did a day later.

I catch up with him every now and then at Indy and Daytona. You'd sure never know he was such a successful driver to talk to him, in that he's grounded very well.

I don't think you can compare in all respects. It's comparing fuji apples to macintosh apples. I wouldn't call Spec miata or even prototype racing as feeder series' for moving up to formula one. Many of those formula drivers don't have that much experience outside of open wheel cars

Not everyone can race F1 Al, but that doesn't mean they lack talent.
