Find a spare $300 and buy a cheap china one, all it needs to do is work long enough to print fixit parts for itself. Mine's been pretty flawless though, I just printed belt tensioners and set screw adjustable height stops.
Here's my first project, hopefully be making a few dozen glue jigs like this.
These were test parts I didn't expect to work. Since I need so many sets, I printed at 200%/100mm/s and high layer heights to make 1 full set in under 4 hours. The machine rings like crazy around corners moving so fast, but it still works!
