I questioned that myself and seriously think/hope those depicted, were by children.
"376 drawings from participants ranging from 3 – 88 years of age"
First: Consider how dumb the average person is; now realize that, mathematically speaking, half of the worlds population is dumber than that.
If this were an entirely random population sample, then about 188 drawings out of 376 were drawn by people of below average intelligence.
Second: Consider how retarded this artwork would be if the artist selected bicycles that appeared most like a standard bicycle - nobody would give a flying ****, and this exhibit would fall on it's face. The bicycle drawings that were chosen were chosen specifically because they were artistically interesting and unusual.
It ******* blows me away that people spending thousands upon thousand on technical education cant draw a pushbike.
"However, for Gimini this isnít about proving how dumb we are but, rather, how extraordinary our imaginations can be! Having now amassed a collection of 376 drawings from participants ranging from 3 Ė 88 years of age, Gimini has started building realistic renderings of the bikes based on these sketches, in a 3D program.*"
Has been pointed, out by what are you surprised? Even if you're grossly incorrect assumption was true, using a CAD program and drawing something by hand are two different things.
Do you know how many mechanical engineers I've worked with that can't even change the oil in their car?
