LOL. Check Tom's signature at m.net:

J_Man "DynoJet chassis dynos replace engine dynos by producing crank HP and crank Tq."

Ben91 "Use only full ECUs. MS works best in piggyback mode."

Tom is straight up off his rocker. Doesn't even make sense. Note his new user title too.

Naah, I won't do his cheap shots by putting in my signature things he never said ... I'll leave Gary to sort it out the next time he sees his signature ...

Btw, by looking at the Ben mis-quote in his signature about Megasquirt working best in piggyback mode, I can bet he still imagines that the piggyback mode means that not MS is controlling the engine in off-boost but the stock ECU (like the PC-Pro case).

And he hasn't even figured it out that piggyback mode for MS is that the stock ECU is still there only to output OBD-II stuff and not to run the engine at all ...

LOL. Looks like after closing the other thread, Tom returned to an older one (which got temporary locked in the past) and tried posting more bulshit there:

http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread...=261822&page=5

Gary passed by and locked it again

Looks like he deleted Tom's signature too ...

There's a new thread titled "sc issues".The OP posted about the car dying when he comes to a complete stop. Here's the icing on the cake, the OP mentions he's using a pc-pro and timing card.

Well, by adding so much throttled volume, he has to adjust the idle closed loop parameters of the ECU to take into account the new throttled volume (because it is tuned for the stock manifold volume).

Alas, with his powercard and timing piggybacks he can't do that.

If he was running a standalone (direct access to the idle closed loop) he would've been able to adjust the idle numbers.

So much for piggyback bandaids offering OEM drivability ...
