Basically they said the chrono'ed bullets out to long range, thats what they're saying when they used doppler (which is not an incorrect statement, just unnecessarily sciency). And they noticed graphing the speed that it didnt match the predicted case so they figured the cd was changing and that the plastic tip thing must be the case. Taking zoomed in enough so that you can see it images of something moving at super sonic speeds over a distance of hundreds of meters is something I'm not sure a multimillion dollar equipment investment could handle. Is that plastic tip thing really like a thing on stuff bigger than 22 anyways? Only ammo I've ever gotten with it is for my 22mag PMR30 and thats just because thats whats cheapest normally.

Just bought AlienGear IWB and OWB holsters off of the opinion of one person. Hopefully they didn't steer me wrong!
EDIT: I did check his out, but I didn't try it on as I wasn't wearing a belt at the time. Quality seemed good though, and it has a lifetime warranty. And if I change guns you can swap out the kydex for free

I love my alien gear gen III holster.
It makes my 1911 more comfortable to carry than my LC9 in a bianchi.
I wear it with my Crossbreed Velcro lined instructors belt.
I also put Crossbreed's Velcro hooks on all my holsters.
If you don't have a good gun belt, buy one.

1: Improve aerodynamics (BC), because pointy is better than hollow.
2: Initiate expansion upon impact.
Nosler, Sierra, Hornady, Barnes, Swift... pretty much everybody has a line of tipped bullets.

Most "hi velocity" .22lr is still supersonic at 50yds and can keep decent groups... but all fall subsonic before 100yds and accuracy suffers greatly. I don't know of any .22lr ammo that is still supersonic past 100yds.
"Standard Velocity" is subsonic from the barrel and doesn't experience the same turbulent event which opens groups. All "match" .22lr is subsonic, and the CCI SV is universally recognized as excellent, and often outperforms the really good stuff. My gun loves it.

Yes, that is a big part of it.
A stiff belt makes all the difference in the world when carry IWB. I also find them more comfortable even when not carrying.
Some brands use a nylon insert for extra stiffness, but I prefer belts that are solid leather.
Crossbreed also happens to use some very high quality leather, and their belts are nice looking.

That said, I don't really give a **** about EE terminology. I've only been shot once, with a low-velocity, small-caliber round (.22 rimfire), and I don't wish to ever repeat the experience at a larger scale. I try to ensure this outcome by not deliberately instigating people with guns, be they police, military, or just random rednecks.
Extremely cool video, though. I love watching energetic reactions occur at hundreds of thousands of FPS.

.22lr ammo is not very aerodynamic nor are the projectiles themselves very uniform for your average store-bought selections. I think average BC of a random sample of what you can find at Walmart is like .125.

That sounds bad, I'm sorry you had that particular experience. I'm guessing there is a colorful Joe Perez story to go along with that one?
