Almost purchased an AK today. Zastava N-PAP for $460 shipped (firearmsforsale.com) for a thumbhole synth furniture. I didn't know much about Zastava (my friend has one of the first gen single stack ones) but it looks like my slidefire stock won't work on it so I passed. Still, a fair deal if anyone is looking for one.

I only watched 1:30 of the video, maybe they address it later on, but it looks like quite a bit of illegal **** on that pistol (without expensive tax stamps).

Yes, I wish I could get surplus russian ammo at the good ole' day price that everyone says it was... but this is the cheapest ive ever found it to be honest, this scare has inflated the gun market like crazy.

As for that sig adapter, it is actually compliant with FFL and ATF because it doesnt add a stock (unless youre LEO and/or FFL tax stamped, in my state anyways) nor does it add a forward grip. It's still a pistol.

I can aquire one under my military I.D. and tax stamp if I really want to add a forward handle and stock.

I guess it is a good thing I stocked up! 28 spam cans sitting beside my fridge (hey kid, get off my lawn). I think I paid around $2400 total so you got a good deal in my book.

Cheapest price I've seen on these in awhile... excellent deal on a quality bolt-action .22lr... the step up from one of these is a CZ for more than twice as much.
Savage Arms Mark II FV-SR 22 LR Threaded Barrel

They're currently $250 at Buds.

You're killing me!

I've heard these are pretty damn accurate and a step up from my 10/22. I'd love to shoot it but I don't know anyone around here that has one.

I've been slowly growing my group of like-minded gun people here in Hampton Roads for going in on bulk buys for stuff... 6 of us just went in on a 50k primer order, which brings my primer total up to just over 15k. I've also got another 14k sitting in California that a buddy is going to bring me when he moves here in June, which makes me good on primers for the rest of the decade and beyond.

Next step is bulk hardcast bullets. So far, MissouriBulletCompany has the best prices delivered for pistol caliber... 9mm 124gr works out to $66/1000 shipped.

And I'm always on the lookout for .223 brass.

You aren't getting your fingers on my .223 brass. #tacticalbrassrecovery

I like to think that when I go to the indoor range and shoot, it makes the range people mad because they can't make money off of scrapping my brass, but in reality, they're probably all completely oblivious / don't care.

What's the outlook on .22lr availability/pricing?

I've had several people say they know some "industry information" that says the .22lr shortage will be over by May... and I call bullshit.

The ammo shortage for centerfire is effectively over. The only 2 price-point holdouts are .223 and 9mm, which are still about 20% over pre-SandyHook. The problem is that the availability at Walmart hasn't returned to normal in many parts of the country, which is keeping the online and LGS prices high.

Some Walmarts are getting regular shipments of .223 and 9mm, and selling out of the 9mm instantly, while .223 sits in stock. .223 prices will start dropping within the next month or two, and I think 9mm will be early Spring.

However, .22lr will continue to be in very high demand for at least the next year... there are hundred of thousands of people out there who realize the value of that particular caliber as a commodity. The demand will continue to be MUCH greater than supply well into next years holiday buying season.

I for instance am sitting on about 10k rds of .22lr, and eventually wish to stock about 50k rds, both as a cheap way to shoot, and also so that during a future crunch, I can trade. It is what it is.

What % of capacity were manufacturers running at pre-panic on rimfire? steady near 100% or did they have a few % points in reserve?

I have no .22LR now, but I do intend to build a couple guns to shoot it. I will be one of "those guys" buying as much as I can everytime I see some for sale at pre-panic prices for awhile
