Cheaper than dirt had several colors of PF9's for $218 shipped through about mid-January... now they don't have any in stock. I'm still kicking myself.

Went to an RK Gun show this morning. Some ------- had a 9mm S2k brand new and bone stock he wanted $550 for. Few tables down some lady had a NIB 9mm S2k glock magazine for $299.99 and I regret passing it up. Had the cash in my pocket but just wasn't feeling it today.

Also saw a complete Sumoi KP-31:

His barrel was longer than mine (his was 16" mine is only 12) and was converted to Semi only, this I almost bought.. Asking $459, no paper.

The sub 5 pound. I didn't realize there was a gifted part. Damn

Hurm, 250 for a private party sale of one that claims 1box of ammo through it. 2 mags come with it. Hurm.

On the left is a Czech VZ58P which fires a 7.62x39 and looks/operates similar to a Kalashnikov and had fiberglass furniture. Was in great shape, I didn't look at the date but my guess would be manufactured and imported in the 80s.

Middle is a Suomi KP/31 Finnish SMG, fires a 9x19 and manufactured select fire, capable of operating at 750-900rpm. VERY unique rifle, weighed a metric ---- ton. Fires from an open bolt and has the simplest / most unique fire control system I've ever seen.

Right is a Russian PPS SMG, 7,62x25mm Tokarev and operates 600-900rpm also open bolt. As originally manufactured, would only fire full automatic. I did not handle it.

Far right, almost out of the picture I believe is a later model Sten SMG, 9x19mm @ ~500rpm and is fully stamped, opposed to Stamped/machined with the KP-31.

Wish I could have taken pictures of everything that guy had, so many classic war weapons to drool over!

Careful selection of parts. The lower is composite with a DPMS Fire control, the receiver ext tube and stock weigh less than the adjustable M4 tacticool ------ry, carbine length buffer and rifle length spring, thinnest profile barrel I could find, ended up removing the metal plates inside the hand guards, and opted out of any mall-ninja flashlight/lazerbeam/bayonet/other fagggotry. Also decided to leave the recoil pad off the stock cause it weighed 75 grams. The red dot sight added a bit extra weight that wasn't needed, but I'll live with it. Planned to use a composite upper receiver until I got the thing in my hands, then discovered literally building an upper assembly was going to cost $100 more than a place I found my upper at.

Partially what motivated me to build this was the retard on that red jacket show wanted them to build "a light weight battle rifle, built a specific way using specific parts" and they sold it to him for almost $2000.00 a rifle. Add $250 to my final cost and that's a FAR CRY from $18xx.xx they charged the toolbag. From the specs I found, I've beat them out on weight also.

Jealous. I want one of those.

Do you know (I haven't bothered to research) did they pin on the fake can to a short barrel, or does the barrel extend all the way to the end and they installed the fake can over it? Hope they pinned a fake can to the end of the barrel, cause then you can take it off and pin on a real one only paying for a single tax stamp instead of two...

Also plan to buy a GSG1911 soon:

Have seen these new for $300.00 before! God I love .22lr!!

1911 always looks cool, in whatever caliber.

Thanks for the info on the Tokarev

Sadly, I was pretty upset myself to find that the faux suppressor covers an entire barrel, but the shop I bought it said if I wanted to, I pay the tax stamp and buy the suppressor there, they will cut 3-4" off the barrel (it does extend to the full length of the fake suppressor), so I can just thread one on. The old GSG-5 has the small barrel that sticks out 1" from the handguard, of which you can just thread a real suppressor on. The thing is soo much fun, I have a 1911 that I want to buy the GSG .22lr kit for it... I love high calibers, but I really love shooting for cheap with the same feel.

A sale popped up today at Buds... this is the cheapest I've seen these anywhere but CDT. Since it's no longer the holidays, I'd bet that $232 shipped is the best you're going to do for a long time. Buds price-drops like this only usually last a day or two... I'd jump on it.

EDIT: Just ordered one.

------' A.

I'm still really jelly of that Savage .22 that my order never processed on. Lemme know if you wanna sell that thing..

Picked up my PF9 at a show for like $260 which overall is pretty fair (except the guy was asking $360 for it!) Seems a lot of people don't really enjoy shooting the PF9 very often, I seriously dig it personally. Easily run 250 rounds through every time I go shooting, put probably 1000 rounds total through it. The finish is rough on them so they'll work over your hands but you just have to man up and not cry about it.

Good friend of mine wanted a small carry piece so I sourced him a used $200 PF9, called me a few weeks later to inform me that he can't hit ---- with it at 7 yards. Arranged a time when he could meet me down at my local club and I hammered off 40 rounds through the thing center mass in a B7 target at 10 yards. Discovered after handing it back to him he was just jerking the trigger all over the place then proceeds to tell me he's only fired 30 rounds through it total. 60 minutes later he's shooting in the 9 ring.

You'll enjoy it.

^I've been on KTOG for a few months now doing homework. I'd almost decided not to get one since it looks like they have about a 10% "my gun is completely f**ked" failure rate". I think the problems they have is simply a drawback of producing something so small/light in 9mm... there is a tradeoff. Whatever dudes opinion of KT are, they make some ---- that nobody else makes... the company knows this and that's why they have one of the best customer service reputations in the industry.

So, this gun qualifies as sub-compact, and since I finally put my foot down on having a 9mm vice .380, it was a front-runner for awhile. My other options were G26 and SR9c, both of which were $150+ more and much bigger. I couldn't stomach an LC9 vs. the price difference of the KT for roughly the same gun.

Anyways, I'll do all the standard fluff&buff and grip sanding and let everybody know.

I've done absolutely nothing to mine except to polish the holy ---- out of the feed ramp and the chamber. Almost thought I got carried away with the chamber but it's operation has been 100% flawless. Considering ordering some grip tape to see how I like carrying that..

Whatever you do, take plenty of pix.

Is the VIP membership to Bud's worth it? My dad has an FFL so I normally get everything through him so I'd only get the hard to find items from Bud's...

this is how we roll in Nevada, a friend owns a local gun shop and holds these annual try and shoot, where you can try some of the shop's guns, and bring your own to shoot while munching on burgers and hotdogs, with the consent of the local law enforcement for full auto and suppressed weapons, plus some 4x4 off roading.
Even had a P90, barett .50 cal, and Hitler's buzz saw.

Wow I'm bored.

Was doing some 9mm loading for a shoot this weekend and my autoprimer installed a primer upside down. We can't stand for that, so I decapped it and hammered the thing back in correctly with a plastic hammer. Yes, I wore gloves, ear and eye protection.

That's been the highlight of my day, shooting my trash barrel with a primer. Shot another one without my ears in and they're actually pretty loud.
