Default MSM and MS3 Owner Stopping By

Hi everyone, I've been the owner of an MSM for about a year now. It started out stock, and has been slowly getting mods over that time. I've also got an MS3 that I had built into a (not bad) STX autocross car/daily driver.

I've been stopping by here periodically over the past few months lurking and reading threads. Great tech info here, figured it was time to join up.

Welcome. Post pics of the MSM and what you've done to it.

Very nice.
I've seen your car before, probably on mazda-speed. We have the same car basically

How do you like the intake? I'm pondering between the aem and the fm.

Also please post a review of the ebay downpipe when you get it/install it, I'm really interested in how that goes for you, since I too am considering that one over the fm/begi

v v v .... tsk tsk

Dont you has that shiny rebuilt trubo and spiffy manifold. That thing + arttech ALLTEHTHINGS exhaust side. IMO that'd be 'Like new' or even TOP QUALITY OEM setup.

Op, sick car. LOOKS JUST LIEK MINE! Minus the near stock turbo setup tho. In for moar photos

Yeah, I've got parallel build/ownership threads going on mazda-speed and clubroadster.

I like the AEM, it does what it's supposed to. I got a good deal on it since Amazon likes to cut prices on things you leave in your cart to entice you to buy them...and then AutoAnything will beat any price by $1 (pretty sure I got it for well under $200).

I had been planning on biting the bullet to buy the FM downpipe, but I read through this guy's thread last week, and his results convinced me that the eBay downpipe is a workable, good value solution.

It probably would've been easier for me to just plop down the lump sum for the FM LE, but I like feeling like I'm making the part decisions myself, even though they're basically different sides of the same coin when it comes down to it. Plus I get to see the difference each addition makes to the performance.

Looking good.
Excellent choice in cars. I've got an '04 MSM and a '13 MS3 as well, though my MS3 is stock and reserved for DD duty.

I'm definitely interested in it someday, when I live less than 3 hours from the nearest track. It's 3 hours each way for me to autocross too, but I view that as a much lower-risk proposition for mechanical (or driver...) issues that may keep me from getting home in time for work on Monday morning.
