Default Noob from La.

Whats up guys, ive been lurking around here in the shadows for quite some time and figured I would go ahead and de noob my self .
I live in Lafayette, La (anyone else from the south around here?)
I have an 1991 Blue miata (dont have many pics at the moment, phone went **** up and lost em) I bought it back in october 2011.
I bought it to do a v8 swap but I think im gonna go with a turbo but idk yet, me and my bud just yanked the motor a few days ago and began stripping it down.

looks like a good project. Did you use your truck to push your car onto the dolly?

hah yea the rotors were rusted and were hard to budge so my buddy used his truck to push it up, suprisingly there was zero damage.

I am in BR. V8 is a cool swap, not as fast, reliable, or cost effective as a turbo. get it goin on the 1.6 and take a few corners at ludicrous speed, you'll get it then

I've ridden in one and it felt like it upsets the balance of the car, so yes its not as fast around a corner. Happy with the clarification?

I'm just saying: "felt" isn't a measurement of speed. And I don't know how a v8 miata handles so I can't comment on that.

But in a straight line its not even a contest. And if kept n/a with just bolt ons its also more reliable (or at least just as much) as a turbo miata.

oh, absolutely. In a straight line I'd bet its no contest. And lsx engines are soooo reliable. I just dont think its a good swap for a miata. Now an LSx FD rx-7? WANT.
