Default rx7 diff swap help

Hey guys, so i am about ready to buy my first mazda miata. Now i have been looking at all the 94, and 95 models specifically because of the torsen diff. I was going to consider a 1.6 year, but i thought it would be more expensive since i have to buy the diff and all the parts to swap in. But now after some reading, i hear of people putting rx7 clutch type diffs in, and that it can be much cheaper, and some people like the clutch type diffs better anyway. Can someone tell me what you would recommend to a miata noob? I may be able to get a good deal of a 1.6 if i can through in a rx7 diff for cheap. I will be doing the diff swap myself if thats what i decide on doing.

I wouldnt do it... but thats just me. You WOULD be better off with a 94-95, but if you get a good deal on the 1.6.... and, i mean... a GOOD deal.... Then i would just buy a torsen with driveshaft and axles. you can find the whole package commonly for $700 or less

There is a lot of info about Torsen vs clutch type on the interwebs, do some research and you'll find enough info to make your head spin. One advantage to the clutch-type is that you can adjust how it locks by rearranging/adding/removing discs, with a Torsen there's no adjustment.
