New setup. Car runs for 20 seconds then dies
Update
I reloaded the basemap. And i am able to get the car running and going down the road. it is not running very well. bucks a bit and misses some. I am not sure if i need to just keep autotuning or if something is wrong. attached new log with it running.
Run down of the car.
1994
Begi S1 kit
iat
LC1 wide band
OLD ORIGINAL post
I reloaded mspnp with the firmware to the 94 withOUT MAF.
I went into the mspnp config and change it to wide band 02.
Now this is what happens.I start the car. It runs for about 20 seconds and then shuts down.
The Air fuel ratio sits very low when it first starts around 8 or so. then about 7 seconds in it starts rising and does not stop until it is around 20 or so. Then the car shuts off.
I have attached the log I got.
another thing the lc1 gauge does not go up in air fuel ratio. it seems to stay at the 10.1.. until the car starts to die then it drops down to 0.
any help would be great. I am a bit lost.
My thinking on the problem.. but figured best to get some advise before i just start rewiring things.
Something is not right between the LC1 and the MSPNP and the gauge. maybe a ground wire? I did not know if that would result in the symptoms that I am having.
any help would be great.
Thanks

The problem looks to be your warmup/afterstart enrichments as Gammae dies away very quickly and your AFR's go with it until the car falls on its ***,, but then again your VE table is probably miles off too.
What injectors are you using?
Have you made changes to the basemap?
Can you keep it alive by using the throttle?
Upload your MSQ.

I am using stock injectors. (i have 460cc's but did not want to add them till i got it running)
no change at all to the basemap loaded it and tried to start it.
i can keep it going with the throttle.. very very ruff. i was scared to do this did not know if it was very lean or something.
will grab a log with me keeping it running.

increase values in VE table and retry maybe
You have the full version of TunerStudio? Maybe a good idea to download the clean DIY basemap and use compare tune feature vs your current tune to check nothing has gone awry or changed by accident.
I cannot check your MSQ myself but I am sure somebody will do it for you.

Right now the LC1 gauge reads differently than the mspnp for air fuel. should i assume my guage is just wrong right now and go by the mspnp info?
I bought the Tunerstudio software with the auto tune feature. should I try to have it auto tune at idle?

The difference points to a guage calibration or grounding problem, FTA calibrate your LC-1 and re-burn the sensor configuration to the ECU.
You could try the VEA but it may be the incorrect solution - it is unlikely to harm your vehicle under such low load so do not worry too much. You will need to alter the VEA parameters to allow it to tune wiht lower coolant temps I expect.

i appreciate the help any help right now is good. I was able to do the auto tune feature and it seemed to get the car to stay running but very very poorly. up and down idle. but it is a step forward i think.
I am going to check my wide band tomorrow and recalibrate it and check the connections and settings. i do not like how it seems to read differently depending on what software i am using... that can not be right.

I got the car running and idling. I set my timing according to the mspnp instructions. it says at idle it is around 18.5 BTDC. seems a little high but i followed the instructions.
I am going to search for my answers but just to post up what is going on.
Things I find strange now. when i go into the tunerstudio software and look at the VE Table 1 control panel it wants to set my Air Fuel ratios to like 20 at idle. I think that is high.. i have read that other people are closer to 14 at idle. not sure why it shows the 20s to be the target.
Also the strange thing is i selected the start autotune to see what it would do and my air fuel ratios do not seem to climb at idle it stays around 12.5. I would think that the auttune would have tried to raise the air fuel ratio to the 20.5 that it has listed.
Anyways I hope to look into it more tomorrow. I was going to see if i could find someone else map to load up and try. I know i would have to tune it but would think that i would be at a better starting point.

I found out that I had some settings wrong so reloaded the base map. I reset the timing. set up the LC1.
Attached new log.
I might just need to let it auto tune and drive around a bit longer.
Problems I know I am having.
My boost gauge does not seem to be working right. It never shows boost just vacuum. I need to see if the megatune has a boost gauge to watch.
My LCI gauge is not right. might be a ground issue. the megatune is able to see the air fuel.. i assuming it is right.
