don't worry mine has done the same thing.... Never has worked.... runs 100% duty cycle always. I think I've tried everything there is Mica insulator, reversing wires, reversing vacuum lines, burning new map/firmware, posted threads with possible solutions and nothing. Weird thing is the gauge in MT says its what I have the boost duty cycle table set to. Yet I still bounce off of my overboost protection. So I have just given up on it. Maybe this thread will help us both out

Braineack and I were chatting and might have tracked down a cause.

During my testing, I never went so far as to tweak the DC tables. So I never fully tested the EBC ON format. I basically was having issues with it being on... even with it OFF in the Codebase and Outputs field.

Issue might be this... in the Outputs under More Settings... Outputs 1 was on CLT for some reason (i swear I never touched that ). SO it looks to have been outputting 1-5v signal... and thus tripping the FET.

I'll be testing this tonight... if that remedies it... its fixed and I owe Braineack a beer for helping me go back to something I overlooked. I had noticed the CLT deal... but it was greyed out (the time i looked was when Boost was ON... so i didn't think about it being a part of the Output1 being setup as boost OFF... and still forcing the FET into action).

Phew.

Honestly at this point I'm suspecting that the issue is the software or the map itself. The fact that MT retains the ON status for the output even with it turned to OUTPUT1 vs Boost leads me that way.

I've also given alot of details as to what has been tested... i'm guessing that wasn't obvious as I went through each format/round of testing I did?

I'll do more tested as suggested this evening... sorta running out of things to test though. Having done reburns of maps, checked/rechecked/rerechecked/rererechecked the circuit and pinouts and wiring.

reflash the firmware, it couldent hurt. Make sure the coils are unplugged!!

"cured" Appears to be a 2part issue.

Issue 1: Output 1 for some reason was outputting clt signal... thus i believe 1-5v something at all times. So when I switched to Output 1 in Codebase and Options.. to turn off Boost entirely... it was still triggering the FET. Set this to off.. and now I have a real Off.

Issue 2: My TPS is outputting 136 to 229. MS thinks its at a higher tps value than it is... so it doesn't really pay attention to the calibrated percentages you set the DC table up with. I need to figure out if the TPS calibration in MT is just for the MT gauges.... or if it updates the MS box itself.

Regardless... it works enough now that I can use it I believe.

Woot to Braineack for his brainstorming with me and all the options/suggestions here.

Now I can get some higher boost numbers at the dyno
