Default v3.0 fan control mod

Can somebody explain in detail the board mod to control the fan(s)? I saw the diagram in the sticky but i don't get it.

Finally got it started and idling. Everything working great so far. Just need to do some tuning and fix a couple of small things.

basically, you ground the transistor (sorry i didn't label it).

then the middle leg goes to JS0 through a 1K ohm resistor.

then the third leg goes to D9 through it's own diode.

between the third leg and your diode, go to your harness output.

connect that output to the fan lead on your harness. (1R)

that's it, the parameters are under more setting > shift light / fan control

enter in the temps you want the fans to turn on and off.

make sure JS0 is set to fan control under Basic settings > codebase outputs
