I did a quick search on the MS site and couldn't find anything about it. The reason I ask is I'm looking at adapting this thing to auto use.

It has all sorts of little add ons like temp sensors, accelerometers, etc.,etc., it can be rigged to run a Linux build and apparently someone got it to work with Android OS. There's also smaller and larger compatible touch screens, I found up to 17" but who the hell would run a 17" screen in a Miata?

I tried running TS on my Linux book, but for some reason I couldn't get the ports set up correctly. I heard of others having that same problem aswell.

TunerStudioMS would definitely be the way to go. It's the only interface supported by the MS3, and in general, support for MegaTune and MegaTunix seems to be falling by the wayside. Besides, TS supports realtime autotune.

If it's any condolence, I failed to get TS running under Ubuntu as well. Of course, the last time I used Unix (prior to this year) it was System V and I was logging in through a VT-220, so I'm pretty out-of-touch with the modern package-based GUI stuff. Back then you got the sources, a make file, and that was that.

FYI I did get TS to work under Linux. The problem was that even on the 64bit package of TS (I run a 64bit system), the RXTX library was 32bit, so it crashed whenever I tried to connect.

I have been using xandros linux running Tunerstudio on my 701eee without issues for several months. 9 second cold boot times FTW.

I didn't take a look at what the beagleboard linux kernel looked like, but if you are new to linux, you are going to have lots of fun learning to use a command line interface

I have TunerStudioMS under Unbuntu (9.10) running like it's was made for it.

The USB-Serial bought from DIYAT seems to have support in the kernel (I just plugged it in and was just there to select in communications).

The biggest issue for me was to create a menu icon for the script

Install Slackware 2.0 and be done with it. I still have the CDs and the root floppy back from '95, but no drive to boot from.
