Default Ok i guess i have an issue here

I used the diagrams that are shown on diyautotune's web site for configuring my board to work with the miata... http://diyautotune.com/tech_articles...azda_miata.htm

i hooked up the stim, and everything works but the RPM... (RPM was working off the stim before i did the outputs and these mods.)

SO i get to looking on here, and i see that Kags took a differant approch
https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3061

So what diagram should i go by.. And should the RPM and the outputs work correctly on my Stim?

Here are some pics of my board..

After performing the miata mod, rpm will not work on the stim. You have to plug it into the car with a laptop hooked up to it with megatune open to see if it is working.

What are those wires leaving the board for?

Think they might be for his USB adapter.

I also read that the STIM won't read RPM when you do the Miata mods.

I installed the vr circuit when i thought i had problems somewhere with rpm... no need to instal VR though. I'll have to look at mine, i don't remember if i did 65 or not.

I don't think i setup 65. I believe thats what our coils/driver are for. That circuit is for running the vb thingy off the board in q16.

The DIYautotune board mods are different to my board mods (and kags as he copied my mods) as they are a 'development' of our work. I'm not sure exactly why they are a development as my board mods have been going strong for the last 13 months of daily driving, but I guess they you could modify your board either way and it should work without any problems.

The RPM will NOT READ if you do the miata CAS/Coil mods and set the corresponding wheel decoder settings. To get it to work, go to "Spark"->"Stim for Wheel" and turn the Simulator On, be sure to turn it OFF BEFORE PUTTING THE MS IN YOUR CAR!!! All should be well, the sun won't burn out, and the world will still turn.

To get the rpm functionnal by the stim you have to set, under megatune menu, basic setting/codebase and ouputs function and set MSNS(distributor) and unset wheel decoder, just for the time you test it. Don't forget to switch back before installing it in the car

How do you know your stim's working??

I experienced a bad tps pot the stim. I was getting no signal, it was stucked at 0....Try searching around the 2 rpm's POT, get resistance of each one. From memory, one's 10k and the other one's 1k
