Purchased a second hand MS kit, what bits are missing :-(
I purchased this the other day...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2708040668...84.m1423.l2649
I'm really not familiar with MS and have a few questions I hope you can help me with. The seller says the 'serial link' is missing, what is that and where can I get one from?
What plugs in to these sockets?
I have a plug with 6 wires for the left of the larger 2 sockets.
What is it supposed to be wired in to? It does have similar colour wires to the wideband but then I thought the wideband would plug in to the far left stereo jack type socket?
On the other side I assume is where the stock ECU loom plugs in?
The inlet air temp sensor doesn't have any wiring with it, when I do get hold of a bit of loom (which I think should be easy enough off a scrap yard GM car) where does the loom wire in to?
Also the bit in the advert about being from an auto so the pin outs for the throttle body will have to be changed, what the hell does that mean?! I've since emailed the seller for some clarity but he obviously isn't in the mood for helping me :-(
Hope you lot can make sense of it.
Cheers, Ad

its a diypnp.
the db15 can be user populated so youll have to pop the cover to see what is going where into it.
the ait sensor pigtail can be purchased at almost any auto parts store, it's for a GM. almost all gm trucks use it.

Automatic cars have a variable TPS sensor, manual cars have can only tell closed, partial throttle, and wide open throttle. If you plug a MS that's expecting a VTPS into a harness that doesn't, you'll flood the engine. Not sure what that power socket is for, that's the little guy, it's not the AFR gauge.

if i were you i would go over the link brain posted
as well as the assembly instructions to make sure it is proper
http://www.diyautotune.com/diypnp/do..._assembly.html
when going over the assembly instructions there may be some differences between that and your board. if there is then go back to that link brain posted and see if that has instructions to modify it in that fashion
i dont know anything about sequential injection but you will need to go over those instructions as you have that and need to know what wire is for what
http://www.diyautotune.com/diypnp/docs/sequential.html
and for that serial link you asked about in the OP
i think this is what you are talking about
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/m...thru-p-35.html
all the questions you have should have answers in the links
just go over them all and be sure to have your diypnp handy

#2, 4, & 6 - appear to be grounds
#3 - 12v
#13 & 14 - INJECTOR 3 and 4.
it appears to be wired correctly. but i dont think fan control will work, he didnt do it correctly.
also this earlier board didnt have a way to trigger the fuel pump for a 90-93 so you'll have to do something for that. if you remove the AFM.
I recommend running the FUEL PUMP hole to 2O. Then brings it to the AFM connector, then you can jump that pin to the fuel pump relay ground pn within the connector itself.

Whoa, that thing is a bit of a mess. My guess is that the seller may have been a little over his head, maybe never got it working 100%, and sold it off. Only a guess though, but as Brainy pointed out, there are some things on there that do not look correct such as the fan wiring. It would probably be best to compare how this is set up to the application guide. I would check every wire, one at a time. Here is the application guide:
