Default Another help with cranking setting thread 2000 NB 425cc MS2

Hi miata turbo freaks,

I have not posted on here in a while. And I've been meaning to help where I can/ redo my parts thread for a budget turbo build for NB's.

So here is my problem- I've been boosted for a year and half now, moved to ND 4 months ago where it was -20's daily and colder. For the life of me I could not get the car to fire at times and even had to replace my starter from the too many cranks 6+ times a day.

The car cranks for at least 3-5 seconds on cold start. Usually about 3 on a hot or mild warm start. I have a newborn so time is limited in the garage, but I tried to tamper with my settings to help with the process, and even the "tuning megasquirt manual" says I should have cranking pulsewidths in very small values based on req_fuel but my numbers are in the hundreds, not in the "4.6, 10.0" values that I see with the manual. I adjusted too much but still have the previous tunes saved if need be.

I'm attaching the settings I have now for Cranking PW, Priming PW, ASE taper, ASE percentage, and WUE.

My req_fuel is 6.8 which I hope is correct for my RX8 425cc injectors.

Other than that, once warmed up, car runs great (especially after I relocated my IAC to the end tank on the intercooler instead of in front of the throttle body)

But my cranking and warming up is all shitty right now. I know they all 3 settings work with each other so adjusting one, adjusts another and so on. I'm trying to have a stockish fire up in the morning and afr's in the high 12's on a cold start and so on.

thanks for any advice. Sorry for the essay. current settings first

stop flooding the motor with key on and you might have a better chance to start.

flooding at key on is code for: at 20°F coolant temps, you're injecting 20ms worth of fuel into your clyinders.
