I've been running on the 1.8 setup for 2+ years now with no problem.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. Don't get me wrong.
I just think if its been put on its not a new clutch anymore. Its been used.
Also you can get this off ebay for 99+18shipping brand new.
Anyways, I'm not going to thread crap.

Good luck with sale man.

I was thinking of putting this on a track/DD as well, so curious what you didn't like about it. Not enough give for stop and go? Too much of a leg workout?

can you be more specific?

It is too hard to engage?
it is only for tack use?

I'm about to buy one for a 1.8L. I have 240whp and my cluth can hold it wel,l but it is a nigthmare to drive in trafic because the pedal is very, very heavy and I'm not a body builder.

I have one on my 1.8. Pressure plate is about the same as stock, ie. not a leg workout, but the engagement point is pretty sudden and they are prone to the jitters when in reverse as are other 6-puck clutches that I have heard of.

Cannot attest to how they hold up to higher HP numbers, but I think Phil's has held alright.

+1

I have one on my 1.8 as well and it actually feels a bit lighter than stock.

Engagement point for me is easily modulated and a good inch or so off the floor. Not a problem here.

For me, it jitters in reverse and also when clutching off in 1st. But my rear subframe bushigns are wasted so that doesn't help. If I had to operate this clutch in stop-n-go, I'd go batshit nuts, but that's because of the jitters, not the force required to disengage. But as long as you're not in traffic, it aint a big deal. HTH

Does XTD make a similar version? If so, I'd get that. XTD is a US made knock off company, F1 Racing is knocking off XTD knock-offs somewhere else.

All in all, YMMV.
