FS: BEGI S2 Turbo System - USED
Corky is upgrading his turbo kit. For sale is a used S2 BEGI turbo system. See link for more details and photos.

Complete 1996-1997 S2 system for sale. The system was used for approx. 20K miles and two years.
Sale Kit includes:
GT2554 - not ceramic coated
Exhaust Manifold - not ceramic coated, not divided pulse
Cool Air system - Air Box, radiator cover, and air scooper
Stainless Separated Gases Downpipe
All Stainless Oil and Coolant Lines
Heat-shields
Intercooler # 2
Intercooler Tubes
Bypass Valve
Hoses, clamps and fasteners!
Modifications can be made for a fee. Otherwise the kit is for a 1996-1997 system with EGR, A/C, & PWS.
$1900.00 Includes 6 month warranty. As is w/ no modification.

Okay, maybe i am bat **** crazy but, either that is a different bypass valve than i got with my s1 or it's installed backwards.

That picture is not of my car. It is out of the instruction manual with the s1 kit thank you very much.
EDIT: to illustrate my point more clearly
on the left we have the bypass valve pictured. On the right, we have the bypass valve that is pictured in the s1 installation manual. See the difference?

Caution: Do not to install the valve backwards. The white arrow needs to facing upwards and point towards the throttle body inlet tube.

Hmmm, do note that there are 2 white arrows. I'd seriously throw it on my car right now and try it both ways but there's a Porsche behind it. I'm curious now.

The bosch valve can be used either way. The way it is installed on Corky's car is correct but it will work the other way. Some people use it the other way because it will supposedly hold more boost that way. Whereas at higher boost levels they tend to leak. Quit your pissing and moaning, if you're not buying then

If yours is backwards of what Corky's looks like then you might want to try it the other way, it might just work better. 5 minutes and two hoseclamps later you could have a better working BOV.

They work better when oriented as the one in Wes' photo from the instruction manual. The pressurized charge air is thus pushing against the sealed base of the valve rather than the side of it (which would offer it the chance to scoot sideways on its seat and likely reduce the life of the diaphragm).

They do sell them, just give them a call to order them. IIRC the heatshield is $75, not sure what the airbox is anymore.
