This thread makes me want a s2000 real bad. Unfortunately insurance would rape my budget lol.
I'm curious, you guys said in this thread that the s2k burns through tires without camber plates, but I've seen quite a few s2ks in b stock that have had good tire life out of a6's and v710's . I guess the wear is different between an autox course and a track.
I've also seen a b stock s2k with 275s up front, I don't know how but it had 275s front and rear lol.

Is this genius or something else...cheap track wheels to stuff some 255's?

it sucks, i almost think the mazdaspeed miata wouldn't be a bad competitor, and prices are dropping to about 10k and less nowadays.. just sayin. factory turbo, and you already know what needs to be done.
200whp may not be had for 500, but I broke that for about 1000.
Eh, gl with the S2k, they are something, that's for sure.

So what roll bar have you chosen? I understand you are a big boy. Tough to get under the roll bar. Somebody my size has to use special seat rails pretty much on the floor with race seats. I prefer 6 pts, much more comfortable than 5 pts.

Big front wheels to make it even looser and travelling faster when you do finally spin?

SPC camber joints for the front, looking to go 2.5 all around
30mm whiteline sway
Looking to order pads and tires. TWS is easy on pads and the car wont hang out with NASA until late January. So I'm just looking for something for TWS and some easy hpde's I might do with PCA in December. The tires are what have me worried. It has 215 Bridgestone 050's 280 treadwear and 245 rears with Kumho SPT's 320 treadwear. I'm fairly certain that those rear tires are junk for tracking.

lol, literally every year they changed the spring rates and sways. Every drop spring has a different rate and f/r bias. Its looking like its going to be a year of experiments. Emilio prefers a big front bar, s-techs 296/353, 255/275, 3.5 camber. I imagine that the rear spring rate being higher makes having a 275 a must. I'm wondering if with a big front bar and 381/244 rates I couldn't go square in the future and make it a nuetral car, and be able to rotate tires around. Ugh, off to study motion ratio of s2000's.
