Default Please help me with m45 belt

Hello and thank you for taking interest in my post. I've been sitting here for a few hours trying to figure out how this damn belt attaches to the idler pulleys, tightens down, and torques. I've read the instructions over and over from moss miata and I still cannot figure it out. This is the last thing I need to finish after rebuilding my engine from the block up. Please help me figure this one out! A video, a text description, anything will help.

That original tensioner bracket that came with the JRSC kit is janky as hell. The Trackdog Racing tensioner is huge improvement.

I can't really offer any help because I don't have power steering or AC. The kit instructions suck, and don't really give you any good guidance on this. Unless someone else comes along to post, you're just going to have to figure it out.

Sorry for the miscommunication. I get how the belt is supposed to be mounted (end product). I am having trouble mounting the belt in the first place. I can get the belt on in its proper orientation but if I do that first I can't mount the hardware as there is too much torque on the belt before I can mount the bolts. If I try to do the hardware first I cannot get the belt on the hardware even in it's most "loosened" state.

That picture has different mounting hardware than the moss miata kit that I am using.

I've already spend so much money on rebuilding this stupid 1.6L.... I've kinda reached my budget on this car for a little.
Hindsight I should've definitely done a 1.8 swap and called it at that. At least I have a fully forged internals now and I won't melt my pistons any time soon (hopefully).

I built a 1.6 so that I could get back on the road. It just happens to have a JRSC.

DIY MS2, Deatschwerks 350cc injectors. I'm not sure what you mean by IC.
When I bought the miata it had the MSD ignition control, stock injectors, FMU, and stock ECU. I couldn't stand a shitily build miata so I had to learn to fix it from square one. I was just a kid with a soldering iron and a will to learn.

You are actually a big help in getting me to where I am now, Braineack. I couldn't count how many threads/ posts of yours (and Joe Perez) that have helped me these past couple years.

IC is intercooler. Glad to see you got the belt on! When I did mine, it is tight enough I have to just loop the belt onto the pulley and then crank the engine over. The other option is to get the next size up belt (usually a 1/2" longer) so you have a bit more give.

Good choice going with the MS over the piggy back setup, it is a huge upgrade in drivability.

I am running my JRSC/Seebring/BRP mutt of a setup with the 150mm crank overlay and 62.5mm supercharger pulley and it is a hoot.
