what am i missing? (tranny oil leak)
So long story short, I removed the transmission to replace the clutch and refresh the transmission oil when noticed some oil coming out of the rear end of the tranny. I replaced the rear end seal but yet any time I barely tilt the transmission down in the back I get a river of oil flowing out. WTF?????? It almost seems like the oil is flowing down the shaft. Any thoughts or helpful hints? HALP.

Ummm, the extension housing seal on the trans is designed to seal around the surface of the yoke of the driveshaft. When you remove the driveshaft, you create an instant leak if you haven't already drained the trans. Either drain the trans before you pull it or use an extra yoke to plug the opening when you remove the driveshaft. Try to keep that crap in the trans and away from you; gearlube spilled on your body seems to have a nuclear half life. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've screwed-up and got that nasty **** on myself or my clothes.
