Default Custom Gear Set from MFactory: Gauging interest

Hey guys, I just asked MFactory if they would be willing to do a gearset for the 5 speed. I'm still waiting to hear what the approximate price would be ... hopefully it'll be less than the Quaife gearset.

Here's their webpage for their synchro gear set for Hondas and Wrx's: MFactory PRO Synchro Gear Sets

"Hello,

Thank you for your email. We don't have anything at the moment for the Miata, although this is something that is possible if there was the interest.

Usually, our custom order runs are minimum 10 sets. If you are able to find others willing to purchase, we can develop the gears for you, custom ratios.

Thanks,

Stephen from MFactory"

TENTATIVE PRICING!

From Stephen:
"Probably around $2000/set for the 5spd."

Personally I'd like an autox ratio. And 5th gear a nice cruising gear that gets good gas mileage.

Would these be straight cut?

i'm not interested in the gearset however i can vouch for mfactory being a great company, and Stephen Yeh being a great guy to deal with. i recently organized a large group buy (nearly 50 people!) for LSD's to fit escorts/proteges/etc and the product turned out great. they nearly halved the price of the Quaife, which is the only other comperable LSD on the market for our application.

Turbo Tim: I'm going to guess that they will be straight-cut or have a very slight helix to cut down on the noise.
