Gen2 11.75" Big Brake Kit @ Trackspeed - Only $599!
Order today for early July 2015 shipment.
Trackspeed's 11.75" Gen2 BBK retains the legendary performance of our original Gen1 11.75" BBK while adding additional wheel clearance. Our all-new proprietary 6061-T6 aluminum hat is Miata-specific, which allows us to place the rotor ideally within the space provided to maximize wheel clearance. Our hats continue to be the only option that allows for the use of safety wired rotor hat hardware. Our Gen2 brackets are tweaked slightly to ensure compatibility with Keisler aftermarket drop spindles as well. The world-class pedal feel and inexpensive running costs are unchanged from our Gen1 kit.
Pair our 11.75" BBK with a factory Sport 10.9" rear rotor and 1.8L (with adapter bracket) or Sport rear calipers. Add a Trackspeed proportioning valve kit (with proprietary ultra-robust steel adapter fittings) to give your Miata incredible braking performance in any situation.

The brackets shown are production pieces. The rotor is a pre-production item without any coating. The rotors will be black hard-ano'd with etched logos.

Could you create a package that includes rear brake lines or find a way to separately order ONLY rear lines? The front big brake package comes with brake lines but your goodridge brake line package is only available for four wheels.

I take it this kit meets the requirement that the disc is centered between the front wheel bearings?

Not sure who says that's a requirement. The brake rotor is a bit further inboard than the factory brake rotor is. I'm sure that having the rotor perfectly centered on the bearings is a nice thing to do, but in reality, it's more important that the rotor and caliper not hit immovable metal objects like the tie rods or wheels.

Do you ensure that your wheel is centrally located over the hub bearings too? No. Nobody does. Fitment within the chassis dictates wheel placement, just as it dictates brake rotor placement. Unless you are substantially altering the moment being applied to the wheel bearing, it's a non-issue. We put the rotor in a spot where it hits the least amount of **** possible.

To satiate my own curiosity, I took some measurements off a stock NTN hub, an OEM Sport rotor, and our new Gen2 rotor.
Bearing races: ~0.900" thick each
Distance from hub flange face to center of bearing: ~1.200"
Sport rotor offset: ~1.085" (center of rotor to hub flange face)
Trackspeed Gen2 rotor offset: ~1.215"
In closing:
Hopefully that puts this silly issue to rest.

- Mazda doesn't think there's any merit to the idea either
- If there is any merit to the idea, our rotor will improve bearing life over a factory Mazda Sport rotor

No, and it shouldn't cause any issues with Singular's 2.5" or 3" ducts either. All the mockup was done on cars with brake ducts to ensure it wouldn't be an issue. It is very close, though.
