Is it bad that I want these wheels?
I can't help but love these wheels after seeing them on miataspeed's car:
http://xxrwheels.com/sportmax_002.shtml
They're not solid lead but not super light either. They're a good 50% heavier than 6UL's or RPF1's
Looks or purpose? My car is no show winner, so I think this would start a bad trend in trying to turn an ugly car pretty, which I'd be better off starting over with a better shell. Damn you guys and encouraging me into this expensive hobby.

How did you just find those wheels they have been around forever and he certainly wasn't the first miata to run them I'll bet. XXR isn't worried about stuff being light really they are more worried about being cheap. The main selling point for them is the cost is very low. I'd say buy a used set of those with whatever tires fit to run around the street for the look you want and save up for something like 6uls and good tires for any real driving.

I WANT to believe this, but I had to openly admit that I really like the look. It's so hard to choose anything except the 6ULS in terms of performance for the dollar.
I'm fighting an uphill battle trying to turn my car into something that looks good. I should've started with a better shell if that was my goal. Cheap fun, focus!
