I know underdrive pulleys are bad but that's typically because they just make them as light as possible with no thought to how they affect harmonics. Because the SM one has been tested I assume that the added lightness is a bonus based on a slightly overweight OEM design.
This will be a win win situation for people.
Fail fail because I couldn't read properly from 949 website the details.

Just to clarify. A weight reduction in dampening mass is harmful. I know the core of this pulley is aluminum and that weight has no effect on the pulleys capability. In this case the weight savings could be in the right areas.

Is 949racing still alive? I ordered my damper a month ago and I haven't heard of it since...

Have you tried contacting them? That's usually a good first step if you have a problem with an online order.

Best results are ALWAYS gotten by calling. I had a really long wait for my alignment bolts and when I called, Emilio picked up, determined Mazda themselves hadn't gotten the shipment out like he wanted and he figured it out real quickly. Call him, bring it to his personal attention and he will fix it for you.

I set an alarm and woke up in the very wee hours of the morning to call a vendor in the UK when I was trying to find PI parts for my Triumph.

Just sayin'

When I ordered mine, I got the last one available for preorder. Did they show "in-stock" when you ordered? From what I remember, that first batch came in to 949 the first couple weeks in January, I had it in my hands very soon after that.

Emilio, is there a chance in hell that I can get a balancer with a 60 tooth trigger wheel that will work with my Electromotive ignition?

No plans for a 60T. We can make one one off for you, $597 for damper and wheel. You provide the leading or trailing edge locations. Shoot me an email and I'll set it up.

Bumping this because I missed my chance in April. Do you have a vague idea of when you will be getting some more in stock Emilio?

Dammit that's right. Stupid NASA nationals. Thanks for the reminder.

I knew I should have gotten one when I had the chance; I didn't because December is probably the earliest I'll need it. But I know they don't stay in stock for long and take a while to be replenished.
