Starts then dies
This weekend I worked on installing a GM IAT and MAP on my 95. I wired up the IAT using the P/S pressure switch as a signal (repined @ ECU) and the ground on the front of the motor. I test drove the car, everything worked fine.
Next I removed the MAF entirely and using its wires, I wired in a GM 3 bar MAP using the MAF signal for MAP signal, the original IAT wire tapped to the 5v sensor ref, and the original sensor ground from the MAF. I verified that I had 5v at the MAP and tried to start it. After some cranking it will start but then dies as soon as the start up fuel cuts off and the fuel map is supposed to take over. (almost like a MAF car with the MAF disconnected). Touching the throttle also results in the motor stopping.
I used the MAP sensor wizard to swap the sensor over to the GM 3 bar and changed the MAP analog input to use the MAF voltage. I also set the MAF Analog Input to "None". The MAP sensor is reading a pressure drop (down to about 10psi during start up), but that is all I have to go on.
Here are my settings from the MAP Sensor Options window:
Speed Density: [check]
MAP Min Voltage: 0.00
MAP Max Voltage: 5.00
MAP filter: 0
Load Offset: 2.00
Load Scalar: 3.14
Frequency #4 Div: 0
MAP Analog Input: MAF Voltage
MAP Period Input: None
Thanks.
