Also, I'd love to see a different solution to the side to side motion bracing of the wing, have you considered extending the duckbill spoiler sideways to do that?

Cheers. Cabin venting is on the to do list. It's pretty hot in there, and will only get hotter now that it has a flat floor. I did make a central spine on the floor for strength and it also acts as a tunnel to pull air through. There is a small forward facing opening. The rear camm tail did go all the way, but now the wing is wider, I will have to make it wider as well, it actually does brace it a lot.. The cables are on big angles to the air stream, meaning the cross section the air will hit it at wont be round (bad for drag). I know it's not ideal, but they have to be there. Still less drag than regular uprights and big end plates. And my uprights/enplates have tapered edges almost to a point.
I found a very reasonable price for shipping the fastbacks to the west coast. In a few weeks I could possibly take orders and send over a batch of 20.

Not sure what you don't get, or want me to explain. I have reduced the opening on the front, and put a splitter on. Pretty standard stuff with the exception of the airdam profile. I will wool tuft test it after the State Time Attack round on Friday.

Not to take anything away from Lightyear's car, but a good design won't require any cables at all.
Drag trade off for additional surface area(downforce). Those high pressure pockets he has built in front of the wheels will create tons of downforce, but at the cost of being very draggy.
There is no additional surface area from before other than the top side of the splitter. I simply pushed the airdam that was there inwards from the centre opening. I designed this as a lower drag setup. The front opening is much smaller now, and the air that was filling up the engine bay is now being forced around the car.
High pressure builds on the upper surface of splitters due to air stagnation; pretty confident that "endplates" would help massively towards that end. On the other side, front end plates side surface area tends to have the opposite results compared to the rear ones.
The high pressure also pushes on the underside of the bumper beneath the headlights, creating lift that counteracts the downward force on the splitter beneath it. This negates the additional splitter surface area's contributions so it equals out. But I don't know what it does for air heading to the sides. I haven't seen modeling of that.

If I made an airdam that went straight down, it would probably have the same downforce as this one if the top sides cancel out the bottom surface area. But I think it's worth experimenting with this design to see if it is less drag or more downforce.
I painted the wing red, and extended the camm tail to meet the uprights. There is nothing overly fancy in the whole aero design and materials. It has actually cost me around $100. I bought $80 worth of alloy, the rest of the stuff (cloth, resin, etc) was left overs. The fastback roof and trunk are from the previous design. The doors have been sitting for 8 years unassembled. The cables where made by a good friend, so cost nothing. Yet...
But there have been many late nights.
