Nice, ordered. Grabbed the extra 2 hood vents as well, didn't know that was a thing. Between the fender vents from Padlock, the hood vents, and now these, I think the front end of my car will be more vents than sheet metal ;p Not sure it actually makes me any faster (at least with my driving) but at least it looks cool.

Hm. Didn't know this was a thing either. Ryan, do you have any data to back up the additional 2 louvers? I just want to see how much of an improvement they are over the standard 3pc kit.

The addition of the two outer louvers to make the full "Max Attack" 5pc set takes under-hood pressure reduction from ~50% with the standard 3pc kit to ~65-70%.
Working on partial blockoff plates to bring the fender louver opening area down to GLTC limits. Having a sample cut in the next batch of waterjet parts this month. Aiming to have those available at the same time as the first fender louver kits are shipping. Will be trying to keep the cost on those to a minimum so will likely supply them in bare aluminum and you guys can paint them black or paint/wrap them to match the body color.
Anyone who will need a NASA/GLTC cover and already has their order in, just shoot me an email in reply to your order receipt and I'll add a note on the order. Will let you know when I have more info on them after I've messed with the first sample.

Side note: Per your guys' recommendations, I'm gonna do a fender cut in conjunction with the vent installation. I see the Hypermiata has a pretty large/aggressive cut. Is it even worth considering a smaller cut like the popular one along the indented body line?

I had mine cut like that once upon a time. It only does a very small amount on its own. The high pressure turbulent air you want to pull out is up higher in the fender. In order of effectiveness, the ranking would be: 1) fender louver above the wheel, 2) BIG fender cut behind the wheel, 3) small fender cut behind the wheel.
If you were only going to do a fender cut behind the wheel, I'd push hard for doing the larger version - still not as effective as the louvers, but the larger version gets higher up in the fender and moves a larger volume of air out. BUT, since you're doing the most effective thing already with the fender louvers, the size of the fender cut is going to be less critical. The larger version will still draw more air out than the smaller one, but if you have a strong subjective preference for the smaller cut, go for it.
I guess that's pretty close to what I was expecting. I'm gonna go ahead and do the big cut then. Not much extra to lose if I'm already gonna fillet the fenders anyway haha.

verything's going pretty smoothly, been making sure everything will be perfect with this first batch. We're updating to a different anodizing spec for better UV resistance on all louvers - this was due to happen sometime early this year, but I decided to push that forward and hustle to get it all set up with the new anodizer now because I want this first batch of fender louvers to have that new anodizing. It's taken some time to get set up with the new shop, which has pushed the ETA for completion of this batch back roughly 30 days. But I think it's worth the small delay rather than to do the first batch for you guys with the old anodizing and then update them shortly after that.
GLTC Covers
On the subject of those running GLTC, the prototype cover was cut and looks like it will work great. This will reduce the opening area down to 45 square inches as required by the GLTC rules, and the cover is removable for non-restricted events. The covers will ship flat since the curvature of an NA and NB fender are slightly different and you'll want to bend it accordingly.
Flat, as they'll be received:
I started by placing the cover on the fender and bending it over the curve of the fender to establish roughly where it needed to curve the most (I wasn't worried about the crappy paint on my sample fender, but use a rag or painter's tape to protect you paint on your own car). Took maybe 2 minutes. Then finished off fine tuning the curvature just by bending it by hand over my thigh, holding it up to the fender, and repeating. After about 5 minutes it matched up to the fender nicely.
Note 3 holes provided on the top, and you'll drill the 3 lower holes after you're done bending the cover. For those who get the GLTC cover, I'll include 6 nuts/bolts per side for use in those holes instead of rivets so that the covers can be installed/removed.
A few of the group buy orders have notes that they will be wanting these GLTC covers so I'll get with those folks directly to add this to their order. In the future, these will be available as an add-on option on the website when ordering the fender louvers.
