Nudge.

https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...pistons-92445/

Probably not the compression you want.

LownSlow616 03-09-2017 05:51 PM

Id run em.

U pay for the machine work, a mitutoyo 3-4" micrometer, and a dial bore gauge? Ill buy the pistons!

Can one survive on something lower on the food chain than ramen?

LownSlow616 03-25-2017 08:52 AM

made a new water pump inlet out of aluminum. Uses factory fasteners, gasket, and lower rad barb. vibrant -6 fitting for turbo water line. a lot cheaper than the hawley cnc version!

can anyone explain what all this stuff is and if i need it?

LownSlow616 03-25-2017 05:01 PM

anyone know who makes the best automotive wiring "stuff?" crimp connectors, heat shrink, covers for harnesses, etc. Is there a "vibrant performance" of wiring supplies?

aidandj 03-25-2017 05:10 PM

Its a lot more complicated than just picking one seller.

There is some good info starting here: https://www.miataturbo.net/engine-pe...4/#post1397951

But it really takes a lot of your own research.

mmmjesse 03-25-2017 10:12 PM

i have used wirecare.com and ballenger motorsports. ballenger has a section specifically for miata connectors. Ballenger Motorsports - High Performance Electronics

There is a thread on here called connector witchhunt that might be useful also.

old gt2560 on for "break in" period

LownSlow616 06-27-2017 03:02 PM

I have about 300 miles on the new engine- running e85 and 10 psi on the gt2560. After that I compression tested each cylinder to make sure the used rings "re-sealed." Compression came out around 170 for each cylinder. So its time to make some real power. Currently in the process of installing the gtx3071:
