Thanks for the compliments guys.

Can anyone explain to me what a "signal ground" is?

Im trying to wire in an oil pressure sensor to my ecu. Its simple to wire up but my "signal ground" pin on my ecu already has 2 wires going to it and i dont know if adding this sensor to it will overload it.

I really want to start learning about wiring..

A ground, as I understand it, is a reference point. It should be fine at that location. Issues start to happen when there are too many things grounded to one spot with iffy wiring or an iffy ground. That leads to noise and issues. The megasquirt ground should handle 3 grounds for gauges without issue.

It's not Megasquirt.

GL fam.

But yeah, it'll either work or it won't. Give it a shot. It's just a sensor.

Impressive. I like the extension on the re-route T/Stat housing. Lots of attention to detail.

Thanks for the help. Like you said, it's not a megasquirt.
I've been very patient with Jeremy at FM but 1 email reply a week doesnt let me get a lot done. So im going to try to learn more ecu related stuff on my own.

thanks. that was done to clear the oil cooler barb on the head and because the kia housing is too big for miata rad hose.
A lot of time and money went into installing/routing everything as cleanly as possible

New turbo setup is finished and on the road. Such a different driving experience with a "big" turbo. I can see a .63 turbine housing in my future lol but for now its kinda fun- full throttle at 3000 rpm and nothing happens. Slowly builds and then **** gets violent around 4k. The wastegate opens (12psi) and the car pulls HARD til 7300 rev limiter. No idea how much power its making right now but im guessing low 300s. I think 16 or 17psi and this thing will really start making some jam

No. I do have a 3 port ebc laying around that I used last year on my gt2560 setup. But for now Im happy just changing springs to increase boost. I think it could use a stiffer spring anyway so the gate doesn't blow open prematurely from exhaust pressure.

My plan is to find a good spring combo that makes ~18psi. Should be 350whp without a doubt then

Wouldn't EBC help spool though?

I'd spring it within 5psi of target, and use the ebc for the rest and to broaden that curve

The only way ebc can help spool is by holding the gate shut right up until desired boost. My wastegate dumps right out of the hood. Like 3 feet from my ears. I can hear it crack open. With the correct spring and vac line setup, it cracks like 2 or 3 psi before full boost. Which is necessary to stop boost spikes on up shifts

I'm sure you hear when it swings open, but I highly doubt you can actually pinpoint the exact opening time/rpm. This would take 2 minutes to test if you wanted to get all scientific about it

Still using stock 5 speed so I really don't need any more spool/torque

Ok ok miataturbo.net was right once again-- I do need to hook up my ebc if i want better spool. I put a stiffer spring in but its still opening super early. boost builds slowly to 19-20psi at redline. but no ebc for now though..trying to keep the torque low. stock pistons and 5 speed..no weird noises yet lol
