NB2 trying to go boost
My first build thread on here but i've been lurking for about 2 years
So I guess ill just start from the beginning, I bought the car from the original owner, an old lady in Jacksonville, FL for $3,000 with about 168K miles, its a 2003 LS. I've had 2 miatas before both NA's so I thought I would delve into the NB world and see the difference, and man I absolutely love the NB, maybe because its a bit more modern or maybe cause both my NA's were hunks of **** just the car itself being in decent shape was the difference, but it feels the exact same as an NA from what I remember so Im happy. I got the car as a daily and I want to try and AutoX and maybe a trackday down the line.

Then from there I picked up a hardtop with OEM "headliner" and defrost for $1100 in Orlando
December 23, 2018
After the hardtop was put on it made the mousetrap style bar pop too much for my liking so I took it out and replaced it with a Harddog double diagonal rollbar

From there I moved towards suspension, now I know how people on here feel towards BC Racing coilovers but I know plenty of people who use them and they love them so I thought I would give them a try and if I didn't love them I would just bite the bullet and get some xidas. I ended up liking them very much, feels just a bit stiffer than stock on the the softest setting and on the hardest you can feel everything on the road. I have them set 6 clicks off full soft and im happy with them there.

While I was installing the coilovers I noticed the shitty stock sway bar endlinks and decided to get some new ones, I went with the supermiata ones and Im so happy that I did. They make the car feel so planted vs the stock ones, maybe Its just a placebo of seeing/ installing something new and shiny but I really felt a difference vs stock.

Once I had the bigger things out of the way I wanted to get some new wheels and tires, so I went with a super unique option...Storm S1's 15x8 +25, usual specs of course. As for tires I wanted to try the Continental Extreme Contact Sports, so I got a set in 205/50/15

After all the big stuff was done I focused more on smaller stuff to improve the feel/ look of the car with little things. ie.
Gas cover
Tint
Steering wheel
Small Tupperware
MSM front lip/airdam
Trackdog front "splitter"
New radio
Hardtop security brackets
Eclipse vents
Shitty mishimoto radiator
ISR exhaust
and after all that it pretty much leads up to what the car looks like today.

After getting the car looking a bit better im finally starting to get turbo parts, so I ordered an MS3Pro PnP so I can get it setup and figure it out while the car is still stock to make it a bit easier for myself since I have no clue how to use MS.

This thing by far is the nicest part i've ever ordered for the car i'm soooo excited to get this thing installed and start messing with it!!! I also just picked up a used T25 from an SR for $50 with ZERO shaft play but im gonna rebuild it anyways just to be safe!

So I got the MS3 completely installed and ive started to mess with it and get the base tune installed and calibrate sensors and such. Been reading a bunch and I looked at the "newb friendly tuning guide to MS" in the Megasquirt sticky threads. Car has a tough time with hot restarts so I think im just going to mess with ASE and mess with the higher temp stuff till it will start because currently it will start then just die but when I look at the afr to get a hint whether its leaning out or going super rich the Afr just says like mid 14s and doesn't move, so thats weird as well. It also did this weird thing last night after a fillup where I went to leave the gas station and the car with any amount of throttle was leaning out to like 18 and up so I turned the car off and checked that I didnt **** anything up since It was driving fine on the way to the gas station but I reviewed everything and it was fine so I went to start it up again and it was normal again. So im pretty confused about that but it has happened before so next time it does ill try to remember to take a log so I can try and see whats happening.
These are my current AFR target, Fuel, and Ignition Tables not sure if they are any good, I haven't touched the ignition table at all its what the base map had on it.
Fuel Table
AFR table
For some reason it refuses to let me add the ignition table but its just the one from the 01-05 base map

Widebands need time to warm up, and usually the controller needs a few seconds to work it's **** out before it reads, while it's doing that they'll normally send out a flat signal, yours might just send out a flat stoich voltage.
I know my MTXL takes a few seconds to boot up, even on hot starts when it's pre-warmed from having been running.

Good looking nb2 !
I'm also in jax, let me know id you want to hit up autox or meet up and compare your ms3 tune to mine.
I dont have hot restart issues, but I also have no idea what I did to fix that lol

Check the specs on whatever WBO2 you're using.

I'll definitely take you up on that offer to autox and compare tunes! I sent you a PM.

There is no way your injector deadtime information is accurate. You really need to get that right now since it will change the fueling everywhere else.
All your tables should be rescaled IMO. Especially the Y axis of the ignition table.
VE table needs lots of work once deatimes are correct.

As far as rescaling all the tables, im not sure what you mean, obviously I know what you mean by rescale but what about them is wrong, any step in the right direction is appreciated. And im a bit scared to touch anything that has to do with ignition xD
Once I get the dead times figured out i'll use VEAL to fix the Fuel ve table.

Export the tables from that basemap then import them to your tune. Don't just load that basemap on your megasquirt. I would use the deadtime information from the trubokitty tune as well.
