As Curly said mentioned on my other inquiring post, I do have a Fidanza flywheel. He recommended just getting a new friction plate. That will save some funds.
I guess this is the part here. Replacement Fidanza Flywheel Friction Surface for Miata 1990-1993 Do the other parts typically not need to be replaced? With a new clutch and friction plate would the noise/rattle quiet at all or is that par for the course? |
This is the flywheel you're unsure that you have, correct? If you trust your memory at all, I'd buy that replacement and have it ready for our swap, with all receipts handy, just in case.

The MS3 showed delivered to Covina California but that's the end of tracking info I have. Maybe a distribution spot for Rev? Dunno. He says he sends out 5 at a time. |

Epic. Real VVT coils, wires, and wiring pigtails have been secured, once it's running on the 1.6 I really wanna dive into this thing.

MS3 is on delivery for tomorrow. Still need to put together intake and either order replacement flywheel or just the friction plate. That should be the remainder of parts needed but I'm sure something will come up that I over looked. |
and where did you get these lovely wiring pigtails ??? :D don't destroy the harness.
Cant wait to see what this motor can do, Im excited. |

Aww, don't be lazy on us Ryan! Also, your image of the MS3 above is broken.
Pics for the MT crowd: Attachment 238814 Attachment 238815 Attachment 238816 Pics were taken after we barely finished bolting it in, about 50% of the plumbing and wiring is done. All the pigtails for the CAS, CrankAS, IAC, TPS, COPs (x2), and VVT are all just laying in the back of the bay to be wired today and tomorrow. Just waiting on a fuel rail and NA 1.8 pulley to bolt on to the 1.6 alternator before we can really finish. We also decided to make the wiring pretty, so the TPS, IAC, and crank sensor wiring will all be slightly extended to run along the intake manifold, instead of hopping over by the throttle body. |
