I can only recommend that you go with ARTech or ABSURDflow for the hot-parts and paint your block white or silver.

I have ran into a problem with the fuel system, I'm running the 99 intake/head. I have a fm dual feed 94-97 rail.

PROBLEM IT DOESN'T FIT!!!

the angle is wrong and the regulator hits the manifold.

NOW WHAT!

In for spool time/RPM on the Holset. I've been eyeing one of those for a while (easy/cheap to rebuild) but I haven't seen anybody on here with one.

awesome build, that dig camera takes good closeup pics, Which brand it is?

The only thing, an external wastegate should have been chosen.

Do remember that if you removed the bolt on the compressor you may have to take it back for re-balancing.

Nice and clean. You might want to turn your intake the other way so your not sucking all the hot air from the rad. Oh and you lazy bastard you didnt polish the bottom piece of the intake manifold

Lots of pics? Check.

Pretty awesome overall parts list? Check.

1st gen RX7 in the back ground of one of the pics? Check.

Awesome car/thread man, keep the updates coming. That regulator was exactly what I was going to suggest. I plan on doing that anyway in the future with my Aeromotive unit simply to get that thing out of that area of the bay. It tends to make routing fuel lines much less of a PITA.

The HX30 is a pretty awesome turbo, its very very efficient at higher pressure ratios. My guess is that with the stock intake and the cast mani you will need to run decently high boost to hit your goal (my guess is 19ish psig), but you will find that your IATs are very manageable from that unit with the good FMIC.

Im thinking you will be replacing that intercooler but i could be wrong, if your only shooting for 280 with a setup like that you could prolly get away with about anything. im pretty sure you could exceed your goal with ease. with that setup you could throw more injector on it some e85 and make tons of power, guess that depends on how easy it is to get e85 where you are.

So today I worked a little more on tuning my newly set up turbo. Finally got the car to boost with out falling on it's face. No lean cuts.

Park the car to make sure i have warm up wizard in tune. And then the problem started!!!

Now even when cold when the car is turned to the on position the fuel pump comes on and kicks off over and over again. Just on off on off. The car will not start. I connect the computer and the megasquirt reconizes the pump cycling. And the word "config" is now high lighted in red instead of the normal grey.

What do I need to do to fix this? I've tried to load old tunes back in and nothing is working.

Please help

I posted this on the megasquirt thread also. I'm desperate.

Got the computer mess worked out and have a solid street tune on it. Wastegate is set to about 8psi.

This car pulls really hard for only 8psi, I have about 350miles on it now and have taken it up to redline a handfull of times.

Boost comes in around 3500rpms, i hit 8psi at 4000 and then the boost controller does its job. I plan on getting the car dyno tuned tuesday. I hope to turn the boos up to around 18psi. I couldnt really tell you how much it is goin to put out because I'm not sure what 200 or 300 hp in a miata should feel like. But I can tell you at 8psi, it feels faster than any camaro or mustang i have rode in.

If anyone is thinking of running a holset hx30 I highly reccomend it. i am extremely happy with it thus far.
