It's piped back into a bung in the IC piping.

Temporary new wheel install. Much more room for my legs. Also, giant wiener.

I have developed a crank pulley wobble :( I'll be digging into it tonight to see the damage.

I backtracked the entire thread to find the single mention of the Ultrashield. How do you like it? Any long trips in it?

It's okay. It's a fairly cheap seat that keeps me in place for auto-x events. I put a thin layer of memory foam under the cover, it helps a bit. I've driven about 2 hours straight on it at the most, and I felt fine. If you're a tall guy like me (6'2'') it provides much more leg and head room and a great view of the gauges.

The woodruff key broke in two! I'm pretty sure I caught it quick enough. Working on finding parts right now.

Nice! I just eyeballed that thread, and the only thing I might add is to use a GOOD quality (read: oem) front main seal, and get the front mail seal installer tool from FM. While it is a bit pricey, it makes sure the front main is installed perfectly. I couldn't imagine having to do a front main seal on a "loctite" fixed car.

Also this is from experience, i went with an ebay front main that came in one of my seal kits, never again. I had to do front main/cam seals like 200 miles after putting it together /facepalm. This is part of why i went ahead and bought that tool, lol. Next font main I do there will be no worries.

Yeah, I'll be purchasing an OEM seal, and my friend has the FM tool that I can borrow.

Also, might want to consider going with the gates blue timing belt since you won't be able to easily change the tbelt in the future, and that one has been said to be the most durable and least likely to break under high HP situations.

I got mine for $50 iirc, so not bad. Check out some of our vendors

Edit: now that I think about it, you can probably change the timing belt pretty easily still with the fix. The front main seal however..

Yep, timing belt was done 8k ago so I'm not going to bother. The loctite won't effect changing the belt. The seal I am doing for sure.

How tight was your crank bolt? This happened on a friends 99 recently and now we are replacing the crank. His problem was that he did not tighten the crank bolt to spec, so when I went to loosen it, it took hardly and torque.

It's hard to tell if the crank bolt was the cause. It took a 1/2" ratchet and a pipe as a breaker bar to back the bolt out until I could loosen it with a ratcheting wrench. But I didn't have to 'crack' the bolt, so it may have been a little loose. I had a friend who was a Porsche (and general) mechanic do my timing belt 8k miles ago. I'd be pretty upset if he didn't torque it right, but its a possibility

Fortunately, the damage to the keyway isn't as bad as I anticipated. I've ordered the new parts and should have it running by next weekend.

All patched up! The car is running 100 times better than it was before the loctite fix. Everything is smoother. The car used to shake badly above 70 mph. I thought it was the wheels, but apparently it was coming from the motor :O Super smooth now. The car is currently with my tuner for the final round of tuning and the addition of a manual boost controller. It may be seeing some dyno time today or tomorrow First autocross on Sunday!

This is laughable, coming from a guy who allowed me to pull my motor twice and completely wreck his garage and burn up time.

I still owe you, dude...
