So I have the dash back in, everything assembled, and the fans quit working again. Damn!

Thought I can could go to my local parts store to pick up a fan motor but no dice. Only the one speed fan motor is available. I haven’t checked the dealer yet, but I think I am ditching the Mazdaspeed fan and borrowing the single fan from my other car so I can tune this thing. I will save a few pounds as well.

Car has gotten quite a bit lighter and am looking forward to seeing what it weighs in.

Figured out why my fans aren’t working, the brushes on both motors were stuck and not contacting the rotors.

Car fought me hard today. TPS sensor plug failed on me. So I wired in a new one....WRONG, which caused it to go haywire, which caused it to flood the engine, which caused it to foul the plugs beyond any hope of bringing them back. My brand new temp gauge reads about 30 degrees to cold, AND I have an oil leak where I meticulously re-plumbed the oil pressure sensor, so I will have to pull the intake to fix it. Hurray!

Not really the best day, but we are running and I spent a little time on tuner studio and we are going in a positive direction. Starting to purr like a kitten. Also have a good hunch why the gauge is off. I will be taking advantage of Labor Day to work on it.

Here is a shot of the interior back together with new gauges and new radio delete panel.

Happy to see you tinkering again! Apologies if it's posted elsewhere, do you still have the pretty black NA?

I still have it. Not likely to get rid of it anytime soon. It was my first new car purchase back when I was in college. I still dream of finishing it.
