I'm pretty solid at breaking **** myself.
Found a pair of 800lb front springs. Still hunting for 500lb rears. These vr1s seem to have more grip than the rs3s I had before.
I'd like to get a bit more out of the car before I turn up the power. Maybe catch up to @stormin'norman with a 1:28.* Or something

EDIT: I looked at log. You are also running super rich up there. IIRC, 11.5 target, 10.4 actual.

245 vr1 has more straightline grip that a 225 rs3. That's all I really know right now.
Yes I'm running very rich. Helps with egts, keeps knock away, and again, I haven't had time to go to the dyno.

I'm thinking that the low advance coupled with rich mixture is helping with knock, but increasing the EGT. That's all I'm saying. Theory is that some of the mixture is burning in the manifold. Looking forward to dyno results.

Rich is probably helping with EGT. Lean burns hotter.
I'm not surprised at all about the high EGTs. They are expected with a map this retarded.
I bet if I pulled fuel the EGTs would go up.

That is some serious torque to MPH so quickly!
Any thoughts on when you will be getting it on a dyno?
The EGTs on that 25 PSI run must have been up there with your current timing?
Nice to have that information isn't it!!??
I am always blown away when I see a turbo car without an EGT gauge....IMHO literally running blind.
The car is a beast aidandj !

I need to get VVT fixed before I hit the dyno. EGTs aren't horrible on single pulls. Its the long continuous pulls that really hurt.
I have a warning set at 1600*F, and I've never hit it.
